Urgent Needs

We have dogs in crisis whose care requires a significant financial commitment to address their immediate and potentially ongoing health issues. As part of our commitment to “turn no dogs away,” we seek to instantly put the care and life-saving measures in place that they need. And we need your help to do it.

Often, the financial strain that this type of urgent care requires that we ask for our dog-loving angels out there to step in and donate. Would you please read through the stories below and follow the links to donate? We are a registered, 501c3 non-profit rescue licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Your donations are entirely tax-deductible. No matter how much you donate, you can make a difference. You can help save their lives.

We will update their stories here as often as we can. Again, we thank you for your generosity in helping us maintain our commitment to these loving animals and put in place the life-saving care they so urgently need.

Orphan Annie

We are working in conjunction with CUDDLY to ensure that orphan Annie’s urgent care needs are met. Please click the link to donate and for a complete update on her condition. Thank you for your generosity.

This is orphan “Annie.” She was born in a rural Alabama county with no animal control or shelter and where abandoned animals are left to fend for themselves or die. She was found emaciated and dumped in a stranger’s yard. She was filthy, malnourished, dehydrated, and covered in fleas with a skin infection. She was so hungry she fought us to eat her own vomit. This poor girl was aspirating food trapped in her lungs, wheezing, gasping, gulping, and struggling to breathe.

It’s so frightening and sad that every Veterinary Hospital we contacted in 4 states could not schedule this suffering, starving puppy until 3-8 weeks from now. She requires specialized tests and care. We are all deeply affected by the stress and limited services caused by Covid and the impact on the healthcare industry, even for animals.

Annie was rushed to the emergency room at UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital on Thursday night (8/26/21). She was lethargic, weak, and was not going to survive without urgent care. She is currently being treated for pneumonia. Annie is responding to treatment and is scheduled to receive an IV for Total Parenteral Nutrition. It has been determined that’s the only feeding option that will work for her at this time.

This little girl is hanging on for her life, but she is a fighter! She has the will and spirit to face every challenge head-on! Any donation toward her care is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, if she is a candidate for surgery, we will need to raise the fundraising goal because it will cost thousands for the procedure. She is worth every penny, and we will do anything possible to save her life. Thank you for the support. No dogs left behind.
